Ms. Pace served the City of Punta Gorda, Florida for 35 years in the Procurement Division. The last 20 years as the Procurement and Contracts Manager. Prior to the Procurement Manager she served in all positions of the division for 15 years ranging from Warehousing/Inventory to Specification Writer/Contract Administrator.
Ms. Pace has been activated for all severe storms and hurricanes that threatened the Punta Gorda community in various roles related to logistics and contracting. Most notable hurricanes were Hurricanes Charley and Irma.
Mary was directly charged with the responsibility of researching and preparing procedures and policies to implement the newly released Federal Uniform Guidance requirements in 2014. This required the interpretation of various federal documents and revising current procedures, policies and solicitation templates.
All federal procurements made under the procedures and policies were found by the auditors as being 100% in compliance, which also included the FEMA representative’s audit for Hurricane Irma procurement activities, which included the replacement of 10 miles of seawall.
